Why?
Because honestly, if you look at Youtube hypnosis stuff it’s mostly male hypnotists, and if you’re like me and hypnosis has developed all of these intimate connotations, and you happen to be straight, or you happen to think male hypnotists are, for lack of a better term, kinda creepy (that’s a whole thing for another day, they aren’t, but… no, you know what, no, I’m not going to get into it now), then it can be hard to find solid, informative, and affecting hypnosis content on that platform.

I love Lady Lita.
And honestly, I’ve loved her from afar for a VERY long time.
And by love her, what I mean is I have very fond feelings for her work, and my history with her as I don’t know her at all.
She was an important figure in developing the scene, was immensely popular for a good chunk of time, and for some people she was a problematic character.
I’m going to brush over most of that, and instead focus on what she meant to my development.

Okay, let’s just get this out there, hypnosis is bullshit.

Why is it bullshit? Here’s why!
So let me get this straight, someone is going to talk at me about fluffy clouds or stairs, and count in a soft voice, and I’m going to sort of what? Zone out, and then my mind is going to become an open book where you can say things to my hidden parts and I’ll think, and feel, and do things?
But I’ll only do those things if what you’re saying to me is something I already want, like I’ve already come up with my own ideas and you’re just saying them back to me, and that’s supposed to a big deal?
Oooooh, what a special skill you have to say something I already want, and have me think something I’m already thinking…

Wow…

Three Foundational Words

There was a blog I thought I wanted to write, one about what Customers and Providers owe each other in this business, and every time I tried I didn’t like its shape or tone. It came down to me saying, everyone should be doing better, and everyone should be more aware of the realities and driving forces of this marketplace.
Why marketplace? Because, again, I think about things in these terms and because my work is based on the commercial retail side of things.

But no provider wants to read a screed from some guy talking about how no one is giving you money because you’re a powerful woman, they’re giving you their dick dollars because your presentation speaks to their cocks. It’s not a conversation, it’s not wholly accurate or reflective of the power, business, and emotional dynamics of our scene, and more than anything, it’s a guy talking about how important dicks are in a femdom world.
(Like I said, I never liked how it started to come together.)

Novella

So, what’s this novella thing all about?

I have a story client who is responsible for commissioning all my high fantasy/dark fantasy stories that you’ve seen here, and he approached me about trying my hand at a longer form story.
This wasn’t just financially interesting for me, but creatively as well. I’m a pretty good sized fantasy fan, I played a lot of Dungeons and Dragons and  LARPed (Live Action Role Playing) for a very long time, and all his other commissions have spoken to that combination of my interests.
So, I set out to try a 20k word dark fantasy titnosis fueled adventure about sexy monster girls of the flower variety.
(As a big fan of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, my feelings on that type of sexy monster girl are… complicated)

How’d it turn out?

I think this is a fun romp.
I think if you like the other stories I’ve done in this vein, you’ll like it.
Technically, I think I get to show off a little bit of what else I do well as a writer, and I think it’s a good first offering for something this long.
It’s not perfect by any stretch, but I think it has a solid continuity and internal logic. Further, I think it fits in well with the world these stories occupy and share.

What’s it like?

Okay, let’s do this!
There’s a lot of character work, world building, and non-hypnosis content in it. There’s a short, violent fight scene or two, and all the various MC in it is all in service of character motivations and desires.
This is a slight but important difference, as a lot of the stories I write here are about delivering the MC as the primary feature.
That said, there’s still a lot of what you come here for.

So there you are, I hope it answers any questions you may have about what to expect and what you’ll get from this purchase.

Wait, what about the price point?

So it came out to be 25k words, and it took a very long time to create, plus I think only people that are ‘really’ interested in this are going to get it anyway, so basically I priced it the same as I would 2 of my longer stories, that’s why it’s $10.00.
