Why This Video?
So it’s the opposite of what I did for entry 23, and the second time visiting this ASMRtist, so it’s kind of the same as day 23 in so far as, “Is this someone Max has a little performance crush on?”, and all that aside, there was more I wanted to explore about roleplay, ASMR, and hypnosis in general that I luckily get to cover with this wacky video.
Also, look at the title of this video, of course I want to watch it and break it down!

I mean, as I said about her before, there’s some intentional sexy and intimate going on, but nothing overtly erotic… you know, depending on how you feel about tinfoil hats. That’s right, there’s an actual tinfoil hat in this.

Other Thoughts/About The Hypnotist?
Let’s talk about the good faith participation, fake hypnosis, and how it all comes (and sometimes cums) together.
When you watch something you think may hypnotize you, participate in good faith. That’s what I was trying to say in the Lilium entry, but here’s why you should do it:
1. When you decide up front it’s not going to work, guess what, there’s like an 80%* chance it won’t. Not 100%, because maybe you’re watching it to be convinced otherwise and suggesting to yourself that maybe it still will, planting the seed of the suggestion and opening yourself up to the process, but that also happens when you say, “Yes, this will work, what do I do?”
When you go in assuming it’ll work, then it’ll probably work about 90%** of the time.
*Arbitrary-ish number to make a point.
**Same as above.
2. Hypnosis involves participation from you.
As stated in another entry, I don’t remember exactly which one, you have to do your part. If you’re reading this before you start watching the video, when it starts and she starts asking you questions, go ahead and answer them. It puts you in the frame of engaging with with video, and yes this is true in other stuff when the hypnotist asks you a question, or says, “Think about 10 bananas, and imagine them disappearing as I count you down from 10 to 1.”
So, if you do 1 and 2, then even when someone is making themed content or performance art, and I could name tons of content creators who make our kink themed performance art, you can and probably will get pulled into trance at least lightly.
But, as I’ve been saying all week, there’s still a lot of pieces that have to line up, a lot of luck that goes into it, and a lot of charisma that is required when you don’t just straight up know exactly what you’re doing regarding real hypnosis.
(And I’m hi-fiving myself about being able to further explore my favorite writing topic, that being real/fake hypnosis, and talking about it in a diplomatic and constructive way.)
Tomorrow, and then for the rest of the month, it’ll be straight up hypnosis of both the erotic and vanilla kind, so no more exploring performance art and its many possible effects.
